Guests, delivery drivers, contractors and service crews press the call button, you see or hear who it is, and you open the gate with a button inside or an app on your phone. You never have to walk down the driveway or hand out your gate code. Which intercom is right for you?
Wired audio intercom
Simple and reliable. A call box at the gate rings indoor stations in the house. A good fit when wire already runs from the gate.
Video intercom
Adds a camera at the call box and a screen indoors or on your phone, so you can see faces and vehicles before opening. Most new installs we do are video.
Cellular and Wi-Fi call boxes
The call box rings your phone directly. These are ideal when the gate is far from the house, when trenching new wire isn’t practical, or when you want to answer the gate from anywhere.
Multi-tenant telephone entry

What’s included in an intercom installation
- Site check: distance to the house, power, network or cell signal, and where drivers stop
- Gooseneck post or pillar mounting at driver’s-window height
- Wiring the call box to the gate operator’s relay so it can open the gate
- Indoor stations, app setup and adding family members’ phones
- Optional built-in keypad or fob reader for regular users
- Testing from the street, the house and your phone

Yes. Video and cellular call boxes connect to an app, so you can see the visitor and open the gate from anywhere.
Do I need new wiring to the house?
Not with a cellular or Wi-Fi call box. Wired systems can often reuse existing wire if it’s in good shape.
Will an intercom work with my gate opener?
Almost always. The intercom connects to the operator’s open input. We’ll confirm compatibility on the site visit.
Can you replace my old intercom without replacing the gate?
Yes. Most upgrades keep the gate, operator and post and only swap the call box and indoor side.
